In 2021, Amanda and Jeff LaShaw purchased LaShaw Ranch Roasters from a local gentleman who had been roasting coffee for over 60 years. Built on decades of knowledge, craftsmanship, and a passion for great coffee, the roastery became the foundation for what would grow into something much bigger.

Shortly after taking ownership, Amanda and Jeff met Caleb Altmeyer, founder and CEO of Helping Captives. Through that connection, they learned more about the reality of sex trafficking and the long-term work required to bring freedom, healing, and restoration to survivors.

It was immediately clear that this was a mission worth standing behind.

From that shared vision, Helping Captives Coffee Co. was created — a purpose-driven coffee brand where exceptional coffee fuels real impact. Fifty percent of profits are donated directly to Helping Captives, helping fund rescue, restoration, and long-term support for survivors.

What started as a passion for great coffee has grown into a mission to bring hope, freedom, and impact — one cup at a time.
